Florence (thinking): We should be good. We're not the first animals that humans have genetically modified. It's been shown that modifications can be a stable inheritance and can be passed down to fertile offspring.
Florence (thinking): When I have a child, I am going to take a moment of silence to thank all those generations of mice that made it possible.
